Travelling to Hellfire Pass
Access to Hellfire Pass is via the entrance to the Thai Military Agriculture and Development Command on Route 323 located 85 km from Kanchanaburi.
Staff at the museum will direct visitors to the start of the path leading down to Hellfire Pass and advise whether they should take the “Bamboo” or “ Concrete Stairway” depending on their state of health and level of interest.
It is suggested that visitors view the “ Hellfire Pass Cutting” first , before returning to view the exhibits within the air-conditioned Museum to cool off. By walking to the Hellfire Pass Cutting first will provided visitors with a slight insight experience of what the men had to endure and a greater understanding for the exhibits displayed within the Museum.
